I have tried for the last 10 years to write non-promotional posts for my Managing eLearning blog. This one is going to be a little hard since I am very proud of Dr. Hicken and his work on the eLearning Hype Curve. My goal will be to discuss some of my favorite podcasts from Leading Learning and end with a mention of the Web Coursework’s Dr. Andy Hicken’s interview conducted by Jeff Cobb.

Andy shares that the eLearning Hype Curve predictions started from the annual eLearning predictions blog post they did for many years. But about four to five years ago they came up with the idea of connecting it to the hype cycle, which is a concept that comes from the consultancy, Gartner.
